welcome to my chaos …

By kaosotep

Dear Reader,

I did not really think all that hard about naming my blog. My husband took a picture of my 11-year old daughter’s doll house and wrote a caption that the photo often resembled our daughter’s room.

Sadly, it also resembles my life. I am a wife, mother and a daughter. In addition, I work full-time. I am not going to bitch about my so called “full” life and schedule but I certainly wouldn’t mind sharing.

I remember playing with a neighbor’s doll house when I was a little girl. I was a neat freak and would’nt let the actual owner touch anything. She would always try to move things around and I would move it back. Eventually, I noticed that there were less play dates and invitations to come over.

Nowadays, my real doll house is brimming with children, dogs, dirty dishes and laundry. Sometimes, I wish I could make everything stop so that I could re-arrange my life just the way I think it should be.  I think I am still that little girl who was completely obsessed about making everything perfect.

Slowly and over the years, I’ve noticed that I’ve started to let go. I’ve started to welcome a little chaos in my life. Occasionally, it’s frustrating but a lot of times, it’s been surprising.

So welcome to my doll house! Welcome to my chaos! Stay awhile … just don’t touch anything.
